Columbia College vs. Penn College

<p>Is Columbia College more selective than Penn College?</p>

<p>Percentage-wise, yes. Columbia accepts 11% whereas Penn accepts 20%. Then again, Penn has a big class to fill and their average SAT scores and GPAs are higher (albeit only marginally). Penn gets more applications than Columbia.</p>

<p>But picking your school based on selectivity rating is absurd. Look at the college for what it is. Excellent schools like Emory and UChicago have 40% acceptance rates, that doesn't make them any less wonderful or full of nobel laureates..</p>
