Columbia College vs SEAS

I know CC is liberal arts and SEAS is, well, engineering, but I was wondering in case I wanted to switch majors or schools, would my chances be very great?

And if there is a good chance, what school would it be easier to switch from? CC -> SEAS or vis versa?

From what I’ve learned, it’s easier to switch from CC to SEAS than vice versa.

I went to Columbia and they told me it was the opposite…easier to switch from SEAS to CC than vice versa

any other opinions on this?

I asked this question when I went to visit; I was told it’s much easier to switch to CC from SEAS because of the extensive training engineers have to do all four years of their undergrad to get the SEAS diploma. Switching from CC to SEAS is difficult because you have much less time to catch up and you will be far behind the rest of the SEAS class

Leah123: You just contradicted yourself in your post

I did? I’m pretty sure everything I said was supporting the fact that it’s easier to start in SEAS and transfer to CC if you decide you don’t want to be an engineer… if I did contradict myself, sorry! That’s what I meant.
