columbia college waitlist

I just rejected the waitlist offer good luck for everyone else!!

Would you share with us where you will be going instead? Thx.

dlambi - was the rejection by email or phone??

dlambi - sorry - meant to add - Good Luck at the college in which you are enrolled -

@ ydnar: Actually, dlambi was not rejected. He was offered acceptance but rejected the offer. And if my memory is correct, he’s probably going to… Brown?

I just got into Columbia College off of the waitlist! I can’t believe it. :O

congrats d-ster2015! i’m still waiting. not feeling too hopeful, haha

thanks, calgirl15. Guilty of reading way too quickly!

LOL I like how we’re all lurking this forum. I’ll check back here (and my email) occasionally until 6 PM EST. Intenseeee.

i just got in too!! good luck everyone!

hey for those whom just got off… are you guys are on CC??? Please… I am on Fu waitlist and I desperately pray for that all the time please answer me

Thanks guys

For those wh are hearing positive news from the Columbia waitlist, are you receiving any financial aid?

congratulations to everyone who got in!

just a couple questions for you guys:

 1. when do you have to respond by?
 2. how did they notify you and what time?

So it looks like the second wave of acceptances has already come out. Congrats to everyone accepted! I guess this probably means I was rejected… oh well. I’m probably going to re-apply next year :)

This means everyone else was probably rejected? Oh man :(

It’s still way too early to give up! I wish you all the best.

@lajlouny- I have until June 3rd/11:59 P.M. to respond to their offer. I was e-mailed at 2 P.M. EST to check my admission decision online.

@unc1957- I was a College applicant.

do some of you guys just keep reapplying to ivies until you get in? That seems like a terrible strategy to me.

@ GreedIsGood: I honestly couldn’t care less whether I get into an Ivy or not, so that is not the purpose of my re-applying. This is my first admissions season. I was already accepted by UC Berkeley, which is good enough for me in terms of prestige (Berkeley’s international reputation is actually better than those of some of the Ivies), but the only problem is that it costs too much for my family (we are non-U.S. citizens). There’s a plethora of other reasons, but I feel like this other thread I posted explains most of them pretty well:

Do you think there is a correlation between the date you submit the update letter to the date you hear about your decision?

@teahupoo

I doubt it. But I hope that is the case, because I sent mine at the end of April…
