Wow, is this really the class of 2015 applying this year?! I feel like there’s a light at the end of the tunnel for me; I’m scheduled to finish my PhD in 2013.

Anyway, to answer your question: I think your SAT score/ACT score is a bit low, but your high GPA may balance that. You’ve got average to above-average extracurriculars. I think you’ve got a chance but I wouldn’t count on it heavily; if ED really does give a “boost” like people say it does perhaps that’ll help your lower test scores over the hedge.

Prepare yourself with some great match schools!

Are you applying to Columbia in New York or Columbia in South Carolina?

Because If you’re talking about Columbia in South Carolina then you’ll get in and you’ll get a full tuition scholarship

[Columbia College SC - Welcome to Columbia College](http://www.columbiacollegesc.edu/admissions/factsheet_fresh_oc.asp)

If you’re talking about Columbia in New York, well, that may be a different story, but I still would think you would get in.

low-mid reach

srry^, i meant mid-high reach. Good luck though!

Just an FYI for anyone who looks at this in subsequent years, I was accepted!!! Go Lions

^
Congrats!

^ Good job…Enjoy NYC

CONGRATS!!!
ahh that must be so exciting!! im starting the process next year, columbia is seriously a dream school for me. if i get in, i would be soo happy/thankful!

have fun next year, all those hours studying did pay off ehh? :)

Nice. This goes to show that even if a school is a “mid-high reach” (man I was wrong  , just go for it and maybe you’ll be accepted. Super Congrats to OP because I saw the ED results for Columbia and it was, to put it lightly, Brutal. Great job again.
