Columbia ED Applicants

I’m so nervous. :frowning: After an amazing interview, I fell so much more in love with Columbia. I really don’t want to get my hopes up :(

Exactly  The interview went amazing. So close yet so far. I’m preparing myself for an outright rejection. I don’t want to expect anything.

That’s how I’m feeling too. Then it’ll be a happy surprise if I’m accepted, or even deferred… Crossing my fingers but keeping my expectations low!

I had my interview on monday and she really sold me on Columbia now my hopes are up :[

I had a great interview on monday to and I really want to go but we all have to assume we didn’t get in and expect the worst while hoping for the best

Oops I probably should’ve turned in my app earlier to get an interview… I empathize with you all, this process beats your confidence into a pulp. But hopefully everyone has had a restful Thanksgiving, and can be more light of heart this holiday season! It’s easier to take your mind off these things when setting up your Festivus pole

Yeah, I just got back from vacation and I’m gearing up for rejection on the 12th…haha. Never got an interview, either. I don’t think it has to do with how early you turn the app in, though, because I got mine in before November (around the end of October, I think?) and so far I’ve heard nothing. sigh Oh well, nothing to do but wait! And work on the mountain of homework I have due on Monday…senioritis really bites =.=

Eleven days is too much extra torture!

I’m really starting to lose hope, I just checked my essay and I have a couple typos as well as formatting errors.

hard core gamer formatting errors are unimportant as the colleges account for common app. Butt this is growing to be torture 11 days is to much time I want to know now.

does anyone know what time decisions come out??

by 5 pm on the 12th

Does anybody know if it’ll come out at exactly 5pm or are we to expect to give the school some margin of error?

@mmallow Sometimes the decisions won’t come out til a little later, maybe by an hour…at least, that’s judging by the Youtube college app videos I watched. Decisions that were supposed to come out by 4 pm came at around 5. But gosh, I hope that doesn’t happen to me because I would probably die of suspense >.<

Ah I see. Thanks.
Yeah, chances are I’ll be manically refreshing my inbox for an email too. Grrrrr.

December 12th, 5PM EST, interpret it as you will. (:

It’s completely alright if you didn’t get an interview! Interviews are offered on the basis of availability of alumni in your area, and if I’m right, Columbia does not offer interviews on campus. Not having one will NOT hurt your chances.

Best of luck guys. Stay strong!

Dammmit, I really like that site. Makes the big possibility of a rejection even more nasty.

Is there a possibility that they could be released earlier, like the day before? I have a scholastic bowl competition and really don’t wanna be sweating in my seat waiting to drive home to learn my fate haha.

I can’t wait…

Nah, I’ve never heard of colleges releasing early decisions early. Early early decisions? I wish  If you have a smartphone, I’d just check it on there sneakily, haha. :stuck_out_tongue:

These next 11 days are gonna be pure torture…T_T
