Columbia Engineering Acceptance Rate?

<p>My brother wishes to apply to Columbia SEAS ED, but wants to know the most recent admission statistics for the engineering program.</p>

<p>The most recent data that I could find was from 2011. <a href="http://columbiaspectator.com/2011/03/30/columbia-college-admit-rate-drops-64-percent"&gt;http://columbiaspectator.com/2011/03/30/columbia-college-admit-rate-drops-64-percent&lt;/a> </p>

<p>It says the acceptance rate for Columbia SEAS class of 2015 was 9.9, so I guess it could be close to 8~9 (correct me if I am wrong) for the class of 2018. </p>

<p>So anyone has any recent data (from 2013/2014)?</p>

<p>“Columbia admitted 2,291 applicants to CC and SEAS this year for an admit rate of 6.94 percent, slightly higher than last year’s rate of 6.89 percent. <p>These are the rates Regular Decision for the class of 2018/16 but for CC /and/ SEAS. Unfortunately I can’t seem to find anything specifically for SEAS reported post-2012 either. Otherwise, the acceptance rate for SEAS never dropped below 20%.</p>

<p>Anyone interested, the last year’s Columbia SEAS acceptance rate was 8% while Columbia College acceptance was 7%. </p>

<p>Yep it’s around 8%, though rumor has it this year it went lower, but I’m not sure. SEAS freshman here. </p>

<p>And the new data won’t be released for a while, unfortunately.</p>

I think they released the new data last December. Columbia Engineering acceptance rate for class of 2018 was 7%. So I believe it would be even lower this year.
