I just graduated from the University of Western Ontario and I'm hoping to apply to Columbia's journalism program for 2013. I was wondering if anyone could estimate my chances of actually getting in, since it is an Ivy.

I have a 3.7 GPA (82 for all four years). During my undergrad I worked full-time at my university's daily student newspaper (the only daily in Canada and the largest in the nation) for 40+ hours a week as a news editor and features editor. I'm now the editor-in-chief and oversee a staff of 24 editors and control our $400,000 budget, as well as put out a newspaper every day. We have a circulation of 11,000.

I've completed an internship with CTV National News, Canada's most-watched news program, as well.

I've won a few awards and graduated with distinction from my program.

So, do I have a good chance or not?

Thanks!

I also hold a certificate in writing, in addition to my bachelor's degree.
