I haven’t seen a weak applicant in this thread yet. They definitely get a solid pool of applicants to choose from.
Hey man, I’m afraid @brettm17 is correct. April 1st is for Science Po, unless specifically stated otherwise. I was told BY May 1st, and I submitted after January 15th. Check out the admission timeline for Science Po here: https://gs.columbia.edu/sciences-po/application-timeline
I do hope I’m wrong though! The wait sucks.
I hope it isn’t another month haha
Congrats to those who were accepted and good luck to those who are waiting for decision.
For those who got accepted and submitted physical official transcripts(for missing credential section),
how long does it take to turn green after they receive the documents?
I applied before January 15, had a phone interview February 28, and was just accepted!
@yinyinlayyuu idk about missing credential section, but i mailed in official physical copies of my transcripts for my application and it took awhile to be checked off. I think I about two weeks–I ordered them online from my schools about January 1 and it finally was green lit January 14. I assume it’ll be the same for the missing credential section documents too.
@DJdonutss Congratulations and thank you!
@DJdonutss Do you mind posting your stats?
I don’t think I’m one to compare with haha
The essay, phone interview, and letters of recommendation definitely play a huge part.

Hello Everyone, Good luck to all, wanted to post my info here so you guys could tell me what you think. Applied Early Action and am eagerly awaiting decision by November 1st. This is my third time applying have been rejected twice but GS is my dream and I am not ready to give up on it. This is the first time I have applied with a one year break in my education. I had taken college classes one year ago so had to put that I hadn’t taken a break on my previous 2 applications.
-Started school at Georgetown School of Continuing Studies while taking care of a sick loved one in DC. Had a 3.6 in two semesters full time.
-Currently been working full time as a sushi apprentice at a Michelin stared restaurant in Manhattan. Have been doing that for a year.
-High School GPA: 95/100
-Low SAT score only 1260
Essay was about my journey in food, and how I am ready again for academics.
Again, good luck to all tell me what you guys think.
@gsgsgs Your tenacity is awesome. I hope you get in!
I’ve been accepted to Columbia GS almost a month ago! Still feels like a dream! I’m very excited to join a prestigious university and a group of individuals who are looking to change the world! Good luck to all those still waiting to hear back!
Congrats @communityiskey89 I’ve got one more month until I get my decision! Hopefully its a YES!
Hi all, congrats to the admits and good luck to the prospectives!
I was recently admitted, and I turned in all of my financial aid application info immediately after I was admitted. At first, they told me it would be one week before I heard back, then they said 2 weeks, then they said by the end of March, now they are saying early-mid April.
Have any other admits gotten the run around about their financial aid too?
Have any others gotten a financial aid package yet?
I know they aren’t going to offer a ton of aid, but I can’t really make any decisions until I know how much they are offering/how much it costs.
Any one get accepted for Fall Regular?? OMG time goes super slow…
Called them up yesterday and they said my application is currently under review… Best of luck to all of us!
Was that for the second Early Action application (Deadline March 1)? Did they give any timeline for decisions?
I’ve been checking the application status multiple times a day this week haha.
@captaincanary
I’m in the same boat! Waiting to hear back about the award letter. Sent them an email this morning asking when it could be expected. I also turned everything in ASAP.
