Interesting. Thanks for letting know!
Is it like an informational interview you can schedule yourself or they reached out to you? Either way, hope it goes well.
It’s an admissions interview. They reached out to me. And, yeah, thanks!
What day did you submit your app? Good luck!
It was something like January 20.
Whys this thread so dead…
still no interview, any ideas? Should DD talk to school counselor?
Just had the interview. It really felt like a chat with a friend or a co-worker. If you’re scheduled for one, be chill and just talk to them.
What’s DD and what’s a school counselor lol
No one’s been accepted or rejected yet. I feel like it’ll pick up closer to March 1st.
Hi y’all,
I applied before the EA deadline for Fall 2022. I didn’t get any interview yet.
My stats
- Polisci major entering as a junior
- 1 semester at a community college, currently in my 3rd semester at a top 20 public university, 4.0/4.0 at both schools, several upper-level courses
- leadership positions at two school clubs/NGO volunteer
- disabled veteran for my home country/worked 5 years as a fine-dining chef + hotel/volunteer cook
- overcame PTSD/have a disability currently
- never went to high school
- 1 rec from a Columbia alum
Nothing special/spectacular. Just living life. How about you guys?
Does those who have the potential of getting in get an interview? … ?
If your not scheduled an interview, does it mean your basically not getting in?
Thanks for sharing. Did AO mention any information regarding decision or application?
I think it’s not. Anyone can register for the interview via school website. If you want to interview, you can simply register for it.
I spoke with an AO back in December, where they asked me about my grades, EC, and time away but I’m not sure if that is being considered as part of my application? I scheduled it on my own. Not sure if this is what everyone is talking about?
Did you spoke with an AO back in december by your request?
I think everyone is talking about the interview request by the AOs
I don’t think so. From the previous threads, I think that they usually ask for an interview when they want you to clarify stuff from your application– meaning you left stuff vague. I think it’s generally a good sign when they don’t ask for it.
That’s not the interview I was talking about. I spoke to them back in December as well. This one is like an admissions interview kind of thing. They just want to get a chance to speak to you directly.
Yeah, we went over my application. No decision yet, obviously.
So, for those who applied before January 15 deadline, are they receiving their decision at the March 1st?
I lurked around past subs and figured they originally notified students after March 1st.
Is there any possibility that the decision can be delayed for the applicant applied prior to the January 15?
