<p>columbia ID? - are you talking about the columbia ID card, which you get if you're accepted to columbia and actually come here as a freshman?</p>

well i submitted part 1 on august 6, admissions received part 1 and the fee on september 8, and i got my columbia ID october 4. so it took me about two months to get ID. </p>
<p>also, one of my teachers submitted my rec fine, without knowing my columbia ID number. no idea about the financial aid for though, sorry. hope it helped?</p>
<p>livingtea- thanks a lot. your info helps me big time. thats the id i was talking about. i am just about to submit my part 1. so i doubt i'll get the ID anytime soon. and i wont be able to put the ID down on any of my snail mail forms (ie fin aid).. perfectly fine?</p>
<p>i read that for those applying via snail mail.. there's a special envelope for sending in part 1.. are there any special envelopes for my teachers and counselors sending the recoms via snail mail? any special notes which i need to tell my teachers and counselor?.. i cant find any on the columbia site/instructions..</p>
<p>sorry for asking so much.. must my counselor fill in the SAT scores on the secondary school form? I feel that I'll do much better in the October SAT1 which results are not out yet.. so should I just ask her to leave the lines blank since Columbia will receive my scores later anyway?</p>
