Please note: applicants are considered to be “legacies” of Columbia only if they are the children of Columbia College or the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science graduates.

Columbia University Office of Undergraduate Admissions - Applications & Admission Process

ya i read that, but on the application it asks to list where your siblings went to college - maybe still a plus?

It's a plus.

Just because your brother went doesn't mean it will improve your application that much. Just focus on the more important things of your application...

ya i know...i think anyone who's relying on a legacy for admission is foolish. I just wanted to know if it would be a little plus in my application or if it's completely irrelevant
