CC was a high reach, even if I was a pole vaulter. My subject test scores today would make acceptance on the order of a miracle!

Congrats to all the newly ordained Columbians!

Never in a million years would I think that I can get a likely letter!
Will we get the actual mail sent to our houses?

Congrats, everyone!

So…have all of the likely letters already been sent out?

OMGG i had no interview and just received my likely letter?

Just to confirm, this is FOR REAL, right? Do they admit all likelies who maintain their academic standing?

didn’t get it…does anyone know approximately how many of these they send out?

haha nice everyone. I definitely know ya’lls excitement, since one of my best friends just got a likely and screamed into the phone for like an hour then proceeded to hug me for a few more hours today :)

Hope ya’ll will choose Columbia! :D

did any of you guys who received likely letters international? if so what country?

are any of you guys not SEAS?

I got a likely e-mail today for SEAS. I wasn’t given an interview, and I’ve never visited campus. So I don’t really know how they select the recipients…

Just to confirm:

Columbia only sends Likely Letters to Athletes and non Columbia Collegeins (except in extreme extreme cases such as being homeschooled or a URM) Hope this relieves some aniexity, and congrats on your likely letters!!

I had an interview, but it was really really bad imo…

would you notify your GC once you get the likely letter, or would you wait and until March 30th to tell your GC about your acceptance?

I would notify your GC; That’s a great accolade.

Did you apply SEAS?

Congratulations guys! Hope to meet you @ Columbia some day.

Columbia doesn’t only send likelies to athletes/URMs/etc. I’m an international applicant with no hooks and wasn’t offered an interview. Applied to CC and received a likely. I’m not trying to be a prick, just setting the record straight.

I highly doubt they’ve reviewed all the applications though… so I suppose they’ve issued these likely letters based on experience regarding the competitiveness of the applicant pool from previous years?

You seem pretty qualified/unique to me…

i got a likely as well…likely to get rejected haha

so how many people on here got likelies to CC?? should i be worried I did get one cuz im freaking out at this point…

I second the above motion/notion. Except i’m SEAS.
What kinda stats are you super lucky folk toting working with?

Wait…did you mean to write that you didn’t get a letter yet?
