columbia Model UN conference and exposition...

My school is participating in a Model UN conference for the first time, and we are going to Columbia Model UN conference.
I've heard that Columbia model un is run by the columbia students and is different from other model un conferences....
Isearched on the website, trying to find information about the conference (how it's going to be run, the process, basically what it is going to be like....) and I couldn't find any info on that.
I e-mailed the person who is in charge too, but I think she is ignoring my questions.....
Is anyone familiar with this conference?
I'm the president for Model un club, so I need to lead everyone and tell them how to prepare.... and I absolutely have no clue to what to do. :(

The person in charge, she just e-mailed me telling me what positions we will be for each committee (they only allow one delegate for each committee) but she didn't tell me what "issue" or "topic" we will be dealing with...

Would this mean that we have to be spontaneous at the conference?
Are they presenting us the issue/topic at the conference then?

Oh, man,,, I 'm so screwed... anyone who can help, please give me some advice or insight... I would really appreciate it

have you tried googling CUMUNC or something like that?

cause i found this:

[CMUNCE 2010 | The Model UN Conference for High-School Students At Columbia University in the City of New York](http://www.cmunce.org/)

just make sure you know the dates the position papers are due, the committes, and your assignments

yeah the website has a lot of information. There are background guides for committees, you are not required to write position papers, just read through the guides (which will have topics, history, committee rules, positions etc.) for your committees. Then do more external research to be able to debate in committee with more knowledge, pm me if you have further questions.

the cmunce website is one of the more impressive ones I’ve seen in a while. From having excellent topic blurbs to concise, well formatted guides for each committee, cmunce has really impressed my school this year. I agree, it can be kind of overwhelming as a head delegate at first to get everything organized, but the website is pretty straightforward and easy to understand if you take the time to look at it.
