It is I, the one who is always posting NYU questions on the Columbia board (try and guess my second choice).

I was reading the Washington Square News, and I noticed several articles about student drug dealers. One student said, "NYU is definitely a big drug school." Somebody else said she was at the student bar Thirsty Scholar, where "there were lots of Columbia students who wanted to be NYU students."
From your uptown perspective, how much of this is true? Do Columbia students not have very good parties? Do they head downtown a lot to buy grass?

Washington Square, as far as I've heard, is the best place to buy weed ever. I doubt they ask to see your NYU ID, so I'm sure you can just take the subway down.

"certain" Columbian studens, being the liberals that they are, likes to share the happiness around. (aka the good stuff.)

I have a VERY credible source for this, but if anyone believes differently feel free to discuss this.

With that said, I want to tell you that it's just like smoking in high schools, some high schools have students that smoke, some don't, but it's ultimately still your choice. Sure, there might be a few drinks and a little puff puff going around NYU or Columbia, but if you feel like picking up a book and read, that's you.

"Do Columbia students not have very good parties? Do they head downtown a lot to buy grass?"

Uh...I don't believe many (but there are some) that does this, don't worry though.

my roommate goes down at least twice a month to stock up.

i'm a sheltered indian guy, yet i've smoked up about 4 times so far since i got here. the first time was at days on campus, so all my drug use has been at columbia.

however, after last time, i chose not to do it anymore, and i haven't since.

so basically, weed's abundant here, but if you don't want to do it, you won't be.
