Columbia & NYU campus tours over Thanksgiving Break?

I’m flying to New York City on my own over Thanksgiving break and I’ll be there November 26th and 27th.

Does anyone know if Columbia University or NYU does tours on Thanksgiving (probably not), or on the day after? I really want to visit them while I’m there, but they don’t have any info on their websites about November dates yet.

Also I’m 17 (rising senior) so am I allowed to visit them on my own or do I need a parent?

Call the two schools and find out.

You don’t need a parent to do a college visit.

Won’t the schools be closed for break? Even admissions people have a life.

It would make more sense to call the schools and find out, no? What is the problem with using the phones?

Certainly call the schools to find out. But most schools are closed for the holiday weekend, and that includes the undergrad admissions office and tours.

You will be able to walk around by yourself, but I seriously doubt there will be official tours taking place.
