Columbia Official Early Decision Class of 2012 Results

Don't worry, I'm an international applicant and I had no such imposing status, and I was lucky enough to get in. I guess essays play a bigger role than they seem, and it also helps if you have ECs that can be reinforced by your teachers/counselor.

^did you ask for aid?

Congratulations Columbia EDers from the Stanford board!

On the other hand those of you deferred or rejected at least you can make fun of these Columbia-bound prospies when this time next year they've been camping out a week in Butler/secret-rooms-ppl-don't-know-about re-reading thousands of pages of LitHum books studying for a 3 hour final exam.

=)

I guranantee they'll lose some of this enthusiasm by then.

Ah, starting finals are we truazn? :-)

But you're right--love of Columbia will not be linear. Just as for any school. Right now let them fantasize about its perfection. The two longest periods of unconditional love for a school are before you go and after you leave. The rest of the time you experience the ups and downs that are tied to reality.

Decision: Accepted as John Jay Scholar
