anyone going to this one?!

I don't know anything about this,
but you should probably go,
to give Columbia a chance to convince you to matriculate.

Regardless of whether or not I get into my top choices,
I'll attend the info sessions/fairs of every school that accepts me.

I was invited to this in my likely letter. I checked the website and it says that it's "in honor of students admitted to the Class of 2012." Then the event information goes on to say, "Perspectives on Diversity is designed to introduce students of color to the Columbia community through a myriad of campus events, and the brunch connects prospective students with alumni"

That's funny because i'm not of color

I'm planning on going. Anyone gone before? is it worth the trip? I'll be giving up my chance to visit Cornell's weekend stay ( I got a likely from them too). Thanks.

I got an invite to this through the Young Alumni mailing list. I considered replying to ask if they were only interested in "Diverse" attendees, i.e. URMs, because I'm, uh, a pasty white boy from the 'burbs. No matter how long I live in Harlem.

If it's really a cross-section of the admitted student body, then I'll take a free sunday brunch in Low Library anytime.

Epilogue - just got word that it's a true cross-section of admitted students, so I'll probably be going on the 13th. Any CC'er who plans to be in attendance, holler and we'll grab an omelette together or something =)

Hey, I'll be going to this too, so if any CC'ers are planning on attending let me know! =)

i'll be hosting a couple people and attending the welcome dinner at fac house.
