Don't listen to all those negative comments, your class rank is very high (2-5% however it ends up) and your SAT scores are within range for any top college. Your ECs are great. I would bet money that you will be admitted.

thanks. as long as I keep up my pace right now. I have to remember not to falter

NYU - no problem - Make sure you visit Columbia and show your interest. Looks good for UPenn too - don't stress; you have time to take the SATs over (although they're lookin' good - I've gotten into both NYU and UPenn so far with slightly with lower than that). Minority female is also a double plus - extracurric's look gr8. The ACT may be your niche so don't doubt it. STUDY for the Subject tests (they're harder than you think). Use this summer to learn about yourself to write a GREAT essay :) Kepp teach/guidance relations good for rec's. Full IB - also awesome. The only reeal difference b/w you and me? GOTTA GET THE GPA AND RANK up - try to become an NHS Officer too if you can.

BEST of luck.

NHS officer? hmm, we already had elections...I thought being officer for NHS as well would prove to be too much since I have teen court outside of school and the engineering dept.

But thank you so much:)

np - oh and being from TX helps some too - they get sooo many East Coast applicants, you know...

UT gets the entire state in terms of applicants :P. The 10% rule is both a boon and a curse; i suppose it depends on which side of the line you're on :|

i don’t have to worry :D

let us know if you get in!

of course! IF i get in :P

I got a 31 on the ACT–first time taken [fell asleep during the math and reading so i had to bubble answers in like a flailing monkey. not good].
i’m taking it again to aim for a 34.

at least a 34, i amend.
