Columbia RD Class of 2019 Chances

Can someone please chance me? (I will chance back)

Unweighted GPA: 3.9
Weighted GPA Unknown- my high school doesn't release these, but I have taken 9 aps (all 5's so far) and 10 honors so I would imagine my weighted would be well over a 4.0. On the UC application, my gpa translates to a 4.4 weighted gpa.

out of state, mn

Act score: 34 (11 writing)
SAT II Scores: Currently not good, 720 lit, 640 us history. Retook them both today. However, got 5s on both of these ap tests.

Polisci major.

ECs: President of amnesty international, president of junior state of america, president of school leadership council, president/founder of school organization dedicated to helping women. Varsity policy debate member, Speaker for MADD, Intern for state senator, big DFL volunteer, won a few state awards for my volunteer work and activism. Free tutor for low-income families in my community, job as paid teacher for after school classes for advanced students in the district. NHS, link crew, etc.

Thanks!

Of course, nobody can estimate your chances for sure. As long as you have a good GPA and good SAT/AP/SAT scores (which you do), you are competitive. I’m sure you did well on your retakes today. You have interesting leadership roles, so I think you’ll be fine!

I’d say you’re a strong applicant, Minnesotans don’t seem to apply as often as students from other states. Work on your essays and supplements. Good luck!

@maddi12‌ If you don’t know your own chances, how are you going to chance back?
