Decisions come out on March 30! So soon yet so far! Who else is waiting?

moi.
bonne chance.

Greedy–aren’t you already a shoe in at another good college? lol

just wondering for someone’s opinion on this, I applied for FA but I live in Canada, so our income tax return forms are not filed until June. The Columbia FA office would not accept the 2009 forms, and told me to simply send them the 2010 forms when they were available in June, and they would not need anything until then. Should I take this as a sign of rejection? I did send them the CSS profile, but since if I were accepted they would need to make a FA decision before May, and they would not have all the required documents by that time, might that mean that they do not care because I have been rejected?

me me me ^.^ even if its a rejection letter i’m glad i applied to such a greatz school!
Maybe those who received likely letter can start posting their stats? Seems like a collegeconfidential tradition!

need to wake up at 5am 31st march to check decisions though. Over here at the southernmost tip of asia, we’re GMT+ 8hrs =.= zzzz

I was deferred ED, so I’m pretty much positive it will be a rejection.
All the same, I can’t help but hang on to that tiny sliver of hope…

I got a likely letter : )

ragna, mind posting stats?

sat1 2270 (took two times) (not highest combined)
sat2 math 2c 800 bio 770 chinese 740 ushistory 700
GPA 3.71/4.00
(no ranking)
(freshmen 3.5,3.5 sophomore 3.7 3.5 junior 3.9 3.9 senior 4.0)

EC - I had the cliche editor-in-chief, project manager, national honor society etc.

Hook - first South Korean to discover a new plant species & published in international journals etc

I’m waiting…most likely for a rejection

I’m waiting… really anxious about it. Dunno what’s gonna be the final outcome but hoping for the best :)

Yea or Nay. The words are so small but they can change your life so much. Good luck everyone, hope we see a lot of green

I got a likely letter last night. :)

I’m waiting.

i was deferred, and i actually think it might be a good outcome for me. 59sound, i thought the last day to get a ll was march 15?

Stiiilllll waiting

Hooks: None

Reflection (why i think i got in): I suspect this is a counter response to Yale’s YES-W 80 likely letters to gather the best science students in the applicant pool. I sincerely believe that this Columbia’s equivilant.

If You look on pg 1 to ragna’s stats, His hook is also based in a hard science (plant biology or biology).

@good4college: To be honest, I didn’t even realize there was such a thing as a Likely Letter until I received mine. Perhaps I received it a little bit late because I’m an international student?

@jason: I got a LL and I am definitely not a Science person. Not that that necessarily means anything, just thought you might be interested.

ugh i was deferred ad columbia means a lot to me

@59

Are u an athelete?
