Well I’m sure you guys heard that they got like 30% more applicants this year than last… and i didn’t bother to calculate it to be sure, but someone said that would make for a 7% acceptance rate. Don’t mean to put ya’ll (or myself, as i’m still marked as “not submitted”) down, but i also wouldn’t get too excited. I honestly think i wouldn’t have applied if i knew ahead of time that the odds were so against me.

WOW. ***? I checked it in school today (time difference), and i was accepted. I came home to check again and it said i was rejected. uh… And now, I checked a 23856th time and my application is no longer submitted?

Don’t want to post stats beyond 34 ACT, 2nd in class, decent SAT II, really good essays/recs, NHS president/member of 6 other clubs, NMS Commended, lots of AP classes (only 2 B’s so far in school) and 5’s on everything but Physics B last year, but I got:

U of Illinois: Accepted
Madison: Accepted
Northwestern: Waitlisted
Dartmouth: Waitlisted
Brown: Waitlisted
Yale: Waitlisted
Princeton: Waitlisted
Cornell: Accepted
Columbia: Accepted

I think I’m going to Columbia next year. AWESOME!

My son was accepted after being deferred. He was also waitlisted at Harvard and rejected by UPenn. Columbia has been his dream for six years now…happiness is!!!
Good luck to all!

@nc0277 I had this same problem when I was trying to find out ED results back in December. I eventually logged in and was accepted, so keep trying!

waitlisted! i totally expected rejection so im pumped haha =)

It says “submission status: not submitted.” I suppose there is no point in calling; I’m sure the phone lines are jammed.

deferred toooooooooooo rejected. not to bent out of shape, I got into UPenn and UChicago – both amazing schools. :)

so, has anyone who couldn’t get through earlier gotten through? only thing between me and my calc homework is this last decision, so I’d like to know if its a browser problem and such.

After you request the password for the first time and make one, how long does it take to get a confirmation email??

According to their website, expect it within hours. I have the password saved on chrome, but I can’t copy it to explorer. When I log into the portal with chrome it says that my application notification hasn’t been submitted yet. Should I be paranoid?

@ Tetris

Same story. I don’t know what to think!

I have a likely letter and it still says “Submission Status: Not Submitted” for me too…still refreshing…

^ same here!

Does this mean they haven’t decided about us yet? :)
