Hi everyone! I’m a senior considering ED to Columbia.
On the website, it says that applications applying to college of engineering who has conducted any research with a mentor can submit the abstract and and a letter of rec from that mentor.

Over the summer, I participated in a data science project with my mentor, but I’m not sure if it’s necessarily a research. Should I still send it?

If you submitted your research to a scientific meeting (typically in the form of an abstract) send that. If you don’t have an abstract, then write up a short summary. The abstract style is very specific, so follow that. Usually 250 words max.
