Hello

I am finding it hard to get in touch with current Columbia students (from EE). So, I am putting my inquiry in this thread. Please help me to take the decision.

I did plenty of research about Cornell (admit- MEng- ECE) and comparing with that, I am quite unfamiliar with Columbia EE. I went through the courses and research websites. It seems that they have a good curriculum for Computer Engineering/ Embedded System (my intended specialization) but I am not sure about the research activities.

Another thing is, everyone is telling me that Columbia is renowned in the industry for it's business/law school and comparing with that, the engineering school doesn't get that much attention. I guess the students from SASE are the right person to comment on that issue. How good is the internship/ job placement scenario (especially for ECE)? I talked with a CS guy from Columbia and he was very positive. What about the EE?

I have to choose between Columbia and Cornell. So, please help!
