<p>well i took the test 2 years ago, but i remember it being more or less the same as youve just described it,</p>
<p>ive been going for 2 years, i don't really get what the hype is,
my parents think its great so i have to wake up super early every saturday morning and take the subway for 1.5 hours to get to columbia.
others have it harder than me though, some people in my class come all the way from connecticut.</p>
<p>ive taken four classes so far
cognitive psychology: interesting, but alot of boring stuff
relativity and quantum mechanics: crazy class, the teacher was teaching us physics involving extremely advanced calculus that noone in the class understood, not even the teacher, he was just copying equations from books onto the board</p>
<p>experiments in molecular bacteriology and genetics: way too basic and easy class, almost like an intro to lab science</p>
<p>neurobiology: was a very good class, excellent teacher and i learned alot.</p>
<p>anyone else have reviews of classes? next year will be my last as i will be a senior, and i dont wanna be stuck with bad classes, i might as well learn something if i have to wake up early on a saturday.</p>
<p>here's what I did:</p>
<p>-Calculus in the Complex Plane: If you like math, devoid of its applications, you'll like this. All I can say is that it was the wrong choice for my first class.
-Relativity and Quantum Theory: I loved this class. You don't have to understand the math to enjoy it; the concepts and theory are interesting enough. I wrote down all the equations, and after taking BC Calc and learning some multivariate stuff, it's fun to come back to figure out what was going on. If you're doing this program, this is one class you really should take at some point.
-Experiments in Genetics and Molecular Bacteriology: Terrible class. Simple experiments in which you'll find yourself doing the same general routine every day.
-Computer Modeling and Visualization of Chemistry: eh, the computer program itself isn't worth getting excited about; we never did much with it. The instructors tried to guage our interest and adapt their lectures accordingly, which worked out well. This is a fun class if you like chemistry.
-Computer Programming in Java: A fun class, especially if you want to slack off on some days. Try to go into this knowing some java already, as the instructor generally doesn't do too well with the first topics. The instructor is an awesome guy though.
-Intro to Psychology: The class is fairly interesting. The teacher doesn't always pick the most interesting topics to talk about, and her lecture can drag sometimes. However, the teacher is kinda hot, which adds to the class in general.</p>
<p>My friend liked Neurobiology as well, but I don't know too much about it.</p>
