WOOHOO i got the letter i made it... over 1900 kids took, 280 made it in, me being one of them =D... im not sure wat class to take yet, i think u can still choose. It starts in september, and i have to let them kno by end of july. Im most likely going to do it. If you made the program Post here.... post wat ur taking to.. ill prolly do a course in bio/medicine... considering i want a future in those fields. every saturday morning in the city... this is gonna suck for waking up tho... lol

Where do you live, Doodl3s? And what's the postmark date? And the first letter of your last name, if you don't mind me asking (in case they sent them out in alphabetical order over the three days)?

i live in Staten island, the island below manhattan... received it today, July 1st, and last name starts with R

Congrats, Doodl3s!!
Can you tell us your average and how you did on the exam??
(only if you don't mind, of course)
ahh I'm so nervous....i did really well on both math sections..
but i think i kinda messed up with science...
anyway gooooooooood luck ppl!!!

Oh, yeah. I forgot about the CONGRATULATIONS!! Hehe.

my average is pretty high i guess... im ranked 16 out of a class of 1200 or so... my SAT scores are tied with the number 1 girl tho.. lol... i laze out in school more than i should, try to keep a social life... my recommendation was pretty beastly about how i can complete research topics efficiently, etc.... to pika, they dont give ur exam grade.... but i kno its the math part that got me in... i did all of them and got like 2 or 3 wrong (the CHALLENGE math part) being a math wiz helped a lot even tho im gonna pick bio/med class. so... again if u did well on the challenge part, ur still in the running... GOOD LUCK!!

Got in today, anyone else from westport/weston, ct/

I got in! My letter just came today (I live in Westchester, NY).

oh well congrts again.......
i applied as a sophomore and didn't make it....
lol...............
ps> is there any freshman or sophomore who got accepted?

Hi,
Pardon my ignorance, but what exactly is the Columbia Science Honors program? Is it available for high school students or college students, or both?

Yes, I got in. Congrats to everyone else and don't give up to those who didn't make it.

To answer your question stamphler, it's a program for high school students. This program provides students with an opportunity to take college level science and math courses. Entrance to this free program is based upon high school transcript, recommendation, and performance on the entrance exam, which includes a math, science, and math challenge section.

To pikachu, I'm a frosh, and I made it in.

I got in!! My best friend and girlfriend got in, too, as did a friend I knew four years ago who goes to a different school now. I'm SOUPED.

Congrats, theoneo and to your girlfriend, best friend, and friend too.

soo... does any1 know how choosing the classes goes about??

in september you get a list of classes to choose from for the fall semester. you pick your top 3 choices, and will be placed into one of those classes. i've never heard of anyone not getting their first choice btw. the same thing happens again for second semester. so 1 class per semester/ 2 semesters.

p.s. congrats to everyone who got in!!! and those of you who didn't - don't worry about it, as long as you're not a senior, you can always try again. i got rejected when i applied as a freshman and then accepted as a sophomore.
