Soooo anxious right now.
Don’t expect a telephone call - they stopped doing that for the class of 2018. Expect an email (and if it is today for you guys, around 6-6:30PM EST)
oh my gosh it’s up. I didn’t get an email but it’s up. I was rejected and I had an interview… I am so sad
right at 6pm EST today March 25 like SickofApps said
I got waitlisted… What do I do now
@hlee77 I didn’t even know they had a waitlist :// i’m really disappointed that I got outright rejected
I thought of appealing my rejection as soon as I saw it… but if there’s already a waitlist I don’t think there’s any hope
@binatang Me either… But I’m extremely depressed. This was my first choice.
@hlee77 is it possible for you to copy and paste what the waitlist letter looks like? i’m just curious … agh asdofhadspiofj, piodasfj,
im’ really depressed about this too
waitlisted… anyone who knows what happens next?
I got in but the financial aid package they gave me is barely enough to cover anything. The estimated total coast of studying at columbia per year is 80000 $. It’s crazy.
I got into the euro-asia program!!!
so excited!
@binatang @hlee77 same… this is super depressing. Think there’s any way we could even appeal?
I was accepted to Reims, very excited though Columbia is an exorbitant amount of money!
@qckslvr did you get waitlisted like hlee77 or rejected like me ?
I want to appeal but if they already have a waitlist to draw new students from then I don’t really know if I should or not …
I didn’t even apply for financial aid… It’s hard to understand my rejection agh
I got in! Does anybody know where to check the cost/financial aid stuff? I can’t seem to find it
@binatang If you really want the programme, go for the appeal! There’s no harm trying, besides, you wouldn’t know unless you try. It’ll be good if they relent and put you on the waitlist (outright acceptance is a little unrealistic), then you have a chance. Besides, no downsides to appealing.
To the waitlisted guys, there’s still hope, I’ve seen quite a few people in the past years forums who opted for another school after getting in the programme, so for those people, their places will be yours.
@Hrathx The costs and financial aid information should have come with your acceptance message on the application portal, it should appear right after you click on "View Update.
