@thesorrow, here is gotousa’s father, my son is attending a boarding school so he has to choose Friday.

Called 5 seconds ago. Still reviewing applications.

That’s so strange. I called about an hour ago and they said everyone getting an interview had been contacted for now, though they would still be reviewing applications through the end of March decision time. 905671907 – were you specifically asking about interview invitations? I hope you were, and that your person was right!

@whackadoodle I just received an e-mail with the same information…
Guess our last chance is to be accepted without an interview…
According to what I’ve read interviews don’t mean you’re accepted, it just means there is something they want to know about your application…
Whatever their decision for us is, apparently they don’t have any doubt about it…
The question : does not getting an interview mean we’re not accepted…

Nicolasy: we can’t help but take it as a bad sign. It’s strange that they still told 9056… that they were still reviewing, though. That gives us a shred of hope.

And now we have to wait for one month. What a horrible situation…

soooo… I guess am not the only one who didn’t get an invitation for the interview… Isn’t the office closed today though?

I don’t think the office is closed today; several people called them and they answered my e-mail.
What I think (or rather hope) is that not getting an interview doesn’t mean not being accepted; it just means that they don’t have any doubt about their decision.

The office is definitely open. They’re now very clear that they’ve reached out to all applicants for whom an interview will be required, and are unlikely to request any more interviews. Although they say that they are still considering all applicants, I tend to assume that it would be unusual to be accepted without an interview.

@gotousa Thank you. I just wanted to know if they programmed interviews later than next week. I’m having mine tomorrow.

I hope for you guys this doesn’t mean anything. If you go on the Dual BA topic from 2011, apparently, all who said they got in had an interview…

will there be a sciences po rep there too or just columbia people?

There will be one interviewer from Columbia and one from Sc Po.

do we know if the questions will be the typical questions or will it be more traditional sciences po questions (where they give you a news article and ask you questions about it/to analyze it)?

According to what they said on the Fall 2011 topic, it’s mostly classical questions.

Anyway, most of the interviews will be via phone call or Skype (for people who don’t live in the US), so it would be impossible to analyse an article or something similar.

O well… Good luck everyone!!!

Congratulations to all of you who got interviews and good luck! If you have any last minute question on the program, email me at cpc2142@columbia.edu. I’ll be happy to answer them!

Corentin… I really want to get into this program… lol…

Just had my interview. I can’t say if it went well or not ; it was my first interview ever. I just have to hope. Interview results will be out in one or two weeks, maximum at the end of March.

How long did it last? And in general, would you say it was more intense or casual/relaxed? Hopefully it went well! :)

My son’s interview was done with US college style. It lasted for half an hour.
