Columbia tour no reservation

Hello,
I recently got accepted to Columbia, and I am planning a trip to NYC next week. I wanted to take a tour and attend an information session at Columbia, but when I checked their website it says reservations for tours and info sessions were full all of next week. My question: is a reservation NECESSARY to join a tour or info session on campus? Thanks

“Reservations for information sessions and campus tours are strongly recommended for all and required for groups over 10.”

“Please note: there are certain dates that will be closed once room capacity is reached. For those dates, walk-ins will not be permitted.”

You can still show up and try to get in. If the room is full, then it’s full. You’ll definitely be able to tag along on a tour, though.

The tour is what I’m most interested in–I don’t really care for the info session. So you think it’s no problem just to join a random tour group? Awesome haha. Thanks!
