I'm a fresh. transfer to Columbia College of Columbia Univ. Today I sent the mid-term grades (2 A's and 2 A-'s, 16 credits, at Univ of Soutern Cal) by overnight mail so it should arrive by tomorrow. I feel like having a pretty high GPA will help me with the decision. Will they have time to review it or are the decisions already made?!?! If the later, do you know when the decisions come out?? Columbia's my number 1 choice, so I'm really curious about that. Thank you for the help.

If they've already reviewed (see "reviewed/processed") perhaps it's late. But, if they are still going through the applicants/double checking a waitlist then you're probably fine.

The decisions probably aren't anywhere near made. Decisions are mailed May 15. They did not start reviewing applications until all Regular Decision applicant Decisions were Mailed at the beginning of April, and even then, there was some lagging in processing the materials--for example, I mailed my HS transcript in September and it was processed two weeks ago.

Two things- first off, soho- it doesn't look like you can check the process of your application past seeing what materials have been marked "received", am i missing something where you can see if it has been "reviewed". Secondly, Layla- if you check the message on the admissions website titled application update it says "Applicants who have applied for transfer admission will be notified of their admission decision via e-mail and mail by the second week of May" which would be before the 15th. Best of luck to everyone.

if i have other colleges needing a decision before may 15th, can i request columbia to release my decision earlier?

Timberland-I know that e-mail is usually a little faster. That's why I said that decisions will be mailed May 15--the actual paper letter.

bump.

any other news about when in "E-mail and Mail by the second week in May" (from the Admissions update page) we should expect news?

aye. anyone know the m.o. from last year?

bump... no other news?
