on their website, for teacher recommendation it says, Please Refrain from Sending multiple recommendations.

I take that to mean, they only want ONE rec total. I looked up the word multiple in the dictionary, it said more than one. But I am not sure, and Columbia is by far my first choice and I don't want to annoy them . What do i do? I would like to submit 2, but if its one, i guess it isn't a problem b/c one of mine i think is going to be fabulous.

I applied last year and I had to send two recs. It should be part of their application.....I do believe it says you need two, just don't send more. You need to read instructions if you wanna get into a school like that! j/k ;) I was so paranoid when I applied there too. Good luck!

Space_cadet may be thinking of freshmen admission. At least last year, for transfers, it says directly that they only want one. So I only sent one and, hey, it worked out. Just pick the professor that will best emphasize your abilities (obviously).
