<p>So I really want to get into Columbia University. What are my chances?</p>
<p>I come from a middle-upper class Chinese :( family, and attend a pretty competitive public school (I think we are ranked somewhere in the top 10 in New Jersey).</p>
<p>GPA: 3.8 unweighted</p>
<p>Community Service: around 150 hrs from tutoring, raising money through concerts, etc.</p>
<p>ECs:
- ModelUN (Chair of Nation Building, won a couple awards, Secretary of the Board)
- Violin:
- 1st Chair of All-State Orchestra
- got into Nationals
- Philadelphia Youth Orchestra
- trio (we won a bunch of awards)
- Westminster Pre- College
- Piano (a bunch of awards, 11-year award)
-Got some of my writing published in magazines, won some awards
- Class Historian
- Editor for Newspaper</p>
<p>I really don't think my chances are that great , but I hope this is good enough</p>
