Just let it all out yo. Let the beat make it flow through your veins and spit it like ice......

Yo admissions officer, you betta let me in,
Don't be frontin' son with that 'deferral' bin
All your colleagues sayin 'thebeef has weak ECs?'
Don't they know I'm a full-time rapper? B*tch please!

:)

All I can say is that going to school with all you guys would be one huge party.

i really can't keep up with this thread
and i really should be gettin to bed
but thinkin bout columbia keeps me up all night
gotta try and stop obsessing with all my might

I was under the impression (correct me if I'm wrong) that calculus for engineers tends to easier than pure calculus because it's more applications-based. :)

I know that my linear algebra with a focus on practical applications is a hell of a lot easier than just regular linear algebra.

wow, CrookedI. what a buzzkill. from raps to linear algebra/calculus applications?

haha yeah at least write a rap about calculus!!

oh so upsetting when i checked my inbox today...and nothing. do you think if i called the admissions office anonymously from my cell phone and asked it would be a problem?

no i doubt it, if you just asked politely when we might know i'm sure they'd tell you or if they don't they wouldn't be upset that you called.

i called and all they said was "before december 15". that was unhelpful :(

"wow, CrookedI. what a buzzkill. from raps to linear algebra/calculus applications?"

Look up Crooked I on google. :)

I just don't think that virtual rapping on a college discussion board is very interesting. ;)

well if they said before december 15th thats good then cuz we know it'll be sometime next week :)

Some kid on this thread said that when he finished his app it said decisions would be out Dec. 10. Really no reason to lie about that.

7 MORE DAYS!

my money is on them emailing us about the date this friday, and the actual decision next friday

i doubt he lied, but why would it have said that after he finished his app and none of ours. and when he finished his app it still would have been too early. the admissions committee wouldnt have even known.

it probably said that he'd be notified of any missing materials by nov. 10 and he might have misread this

yeah i am guessing that's what he meant by the 10th. i'm betting next friday as well, since she did say "before the 15th." i hope she really did mean BEFORE the 15th!

ahhh i knowwww!!!! finding out on a monday would either completely make my week, or ruin it! i really hope it is next fri!

the 10th would be amazingg...HAHA wishful thinking, its not like that kid got special treatment

NOW, would be amazing!
I honestly cannot wait any longer...
Haha, I really need to finish my other applications, but I can't because I'm all too consumed with the idea of gaining acceptance into COLUMBIA

I heard somewhere on here that Columbia is usually the first Ivy to release ED decisions---Cornell is releasing it the 12th, I believe.

Class of 2011 got ED results on the 7th (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/columbia-university/271838-columbia-university-official-class-2011-early-decision-results.html?highlight=columbia+results)

Since there are so many applicants though, I'm guessing our decision date will be on the later end.
