Columbia University Class of '09 - YEAHH

can't wait for high school to end, im stoked

how much is columbia gonna kick ass? haha

its gonna be great...i can care less about school right now...today its so freakin cold outside its like 0 with windchill and I live in virginia..does anyone know how cold it is during the winter up at Columbia?...this is pretty unbearable right now cuz my winters are usually milder than this in terms of temperature

New York is pretty much about that temperature half the winter. I'd be going south if I went to Columbia :)

I live in Alabama, south Alabama, so I don't really have any cold-weather gear at all. Except for skiing clothes (we go most winters)... and I absolutely love the cold and the snow. Deciduous trees being green in the winter just doesn't sit right with me.

Phatman1416, where do you live? I live in Northern Virginia, too. I go to Hayfield Secondary, and I also got into CU.

I live in oakton. It's sandwiched between Vienna and Fairfax, and Oakton High School is my district school. However, I go to Flint Hill, a medium sized private school in Oakton. I got into SEAS. My friend from Lake Braddock was also accepted CC.

I know about Flint Hill. They always kick our asses in Certamen!

haha i dont know what you guys are talking about

NYC in the winter is rarely near 0 degrees - it's usually like in the 30's, 20's or maybe grazing the teens - we rarely see 0 degree coldness

i live just outside NYC

no matter what weather though - Columbia in the Fall of '05 is gonna kick some serious ass

I don't have a problem with cold, I just want some snow.

it was ASS cold for the last few days. Just... brutal.

yea but it wasnt cold yesterday

the days before it got a little rough - but at least we saw some snow (not that much though)

No matter what the temperature is, it always seems like 10 degrees colder on the campus. I guess it has to do with the relatively high elevation in morningside heights and the valley that the school buildings create. The campus is always windy and cold.

Sounds awesome :)

o great. i live in california. i bought my first peacoat last week. i think i'll be buying many more.

Haha @ the peacoat thing.

Funny that you did that beacuse before I got into Columbia, a friend of mine was trying to get me to buy an authentic US navy peacoat from this military surplus store here and I told him I'd get it if I got into Columbia and actually needed it. So now that I'm in, I've gotta buy one.

As well as alot of other winter gear. I live in Portland, OR.

yeah because i wear tank tops year round. summer= tank top. fall = tank top plus light sweater. winter= tank top and jacket. spring= tank top. i own a total of two turtlenecks. it's nice to know where i'm going to school early though because then i don't waste anymore money on clothes i can't wear in the future. i know that sounds really shallow..but hey we're going to school in new york city..:D.

I own one turtleneck. It's black and emo and it should serve me well.

Wait. You have a black turtleneck? I don't think I have ever seen it. I guess I need to get one to if we are going too start a band.

"get one to"

wtf man? And you're supposedly going to Columbia.

What are YOU talking about? It clearly says "too" fool. AHAHAHAHAHA ROFL!
