Same as @mochiko … Are emails like those good indicators or are they sent to all applicants? Additionally, would having a LOR from a grad student substantially help chances?

@spaniardguy Congrats! I was also accepted with a likely letter a few weeks ago. I had no idea that they were still sending likelies though. What type of likely did you get (specific school, URM, scholar, etc.)?

@charcoalatey2021 No, they are mass emails sent to anyone who has ever had any contact with Columbia. Also, no, it matters more what the LOR says than where the person attended college.
