OMG I got named a Kluge Scholar!
Accepted… honestly I have no idea how or why it happened. I’ve realised that a lot of times the admissions process makes almost zero sense. A little advice from an international kid who was 99% sure she had no chance:
Apply anyway, dream as big as you want and work hard. The dreams that you have worked hard for will happen but not always in the way you expect. Keep your chin up and fight for them anyway.

D was accepted - nothing in the college admissions process made sense this year. Waitlisted at Williams and Georgetown (his first choice), but accepted at Columbia. He’s pretty happy right now, since he (and the rest of us) were expecting a rejection.

Accepted!!! I have slow Internet so the Columbia video wouldn’t load at first and I thought, “am I getting a pre-rejection advertisement!?”, but the video was so beautiful and the letter was so welcoming! I am in shock and awe.

4.0 unweighted. 1/550 rank. 42 college credits through PSEO. 8 APs, all 5s. 1550 SAT, 800 math II, 780 chem, 35 act 3 times (36 on each event at least once), 36 essay.
National honor society, tons of volunteering, varsity math team 4 years with several awards, DECA state finalist and district winner and district finalist in two events, FPS state/international winnings since 5th grade, key club, students in action.
Cheer captain, varsity cheer, track and field every year, managed football team 2 years.
Part-time employment, tutor.
Rejected… well, congrats to everyone who got in
