Columbia University Early Decision

<p>I'm sorry if this is already somewhere in the forum, but I did a short search and found nothing...</p>

<p>I applied to Columbia College of Columbia University (the ivy in NYC, that is...) under early decision. The website says that decisions will be available in "mid-December," but I've been told by a family friend who is a college guidance counselor, and whose son attended Columbia, that I may hear as early as the first week of December (that's next week!). </p>

<p>Not sure how many users on here have already been accepted to colleges, but if there is anyone who applied early there previous years, when did you hear of your decision??</p>

<p>Also, does anyone know how we will find out? I assume we will get a letter, but is there also a way to find out online?</p>

<p>Last year, decisions were announced at 5:00 pm, New York time, on December 11.</p>

<p>from what i see on threads from previous yrs it can come as early as dec. 7th</p>
