What does being on Columbia University's extended waitlist actually mean and how many people are actually accepted off the extended waitlist? Also how can you improve your chances of being accepted at this point and has anyone ever been accepted off the waitlist?

Hi, I just posted something similar on the larger waitlist thread.

The Columbia Engineering waiting list was released with the exception of a small number of candidates. I believe the extended waitlist letter explains more for those candidates with a final notification by July 1. I would follow the language of the letter and any instructions.
