<p>Interview was meh. Did not inspire confidence.</p>
<p>Was able to do an overnight visit -- maybe that helped?</p>
<p>Oh my God (this is my mother's account - I'm just hijacking it)!!!! I am shocked. Totally, completely shocked. I was really just hoping for a deferral - it's all a crapshoot, I guess. Could easily have gone the other way.</p>
<p>Much good luck to deferees... You still have a better chance RD than those who are just now applying.</p>

<p>DDs brother was deferred then rejected at Yale; rejected outright at MIT... Then was waitlisted at Princeton... Now happy at Princeton, after acceptance from the waitlist. There is definitely life after deferral or "worse."</p>
