Columbia University Official Class of 2011 Regular Decision Results

so if you live in the usa and didn't get the DHL, I guess that means it is a rejection?

I got a 2240 (12 essay) and I'm not a URM, so my scores are average for non-hooked international applicants. It seems that Columbia places a lot of emphasis on the personality of applicants.

General Comments: what else is there to say =D!

fruitloops, you got the DHL package too, I assume?

yep haha that was a quick reply. got it bfore the email =D

pearfire, a 2240 is not to be considered low hahaa. thats a GREAT score!!! don't worry...

I think it's average for a non-hooked admitted student, though. I'm not being overly self-critical but from seeing the ppl from my country who have gained acceptances to top US schools, it just seems to be merelly mediocre. I don't want to start an argument though, so I'll just: Thank you, :D. Let's continue this thread, :D.

wow, no DHL here in NJ.

yeah i have a 2220. it's not impressive compared to many, but it's not inferior. and it won't keep you OUT of any one school. my friend who got into columbia scored a 2380 and she thinks that's the only thing that got her in but i know she's wrong. she had a really strong vibrant personality and i think that came out in her interview and application as a whole, and i know that columbia looks for a lot of that so they can find students who will contribute to their dynamic community.
