If you don’t get a Likely Letter, are you not getting in?
@highkeystressed3 No, only a very small number of accepted applicants recieve likely letters (usually because they are especially competitive candidates and the college wants to encourage them to attend there). But the majority of the people accepted don’t receive likely letters.
@kimtaehyung Thanks!!
@highkeystressed3 No problem! Also, wow, can I just say that your username is very relatable.
Do more likely letters come out today
Does a LL guarantee admission? I got a LL, but is there any way I wouldn’t get in?
@seniorx2019 Although not an official acceptance, a likely letter ultimately signals an acceptance. So congratulations!!! I think the only way your assumed admission would be rescinded is if your grades drop severely, you do something controversial/offensive, or something else along those lines.
did she apply ED or RD?
Did anyone else get an email regarding missing financial aid documents? Does anyone know if emails like that signal an acceptance at Columbia or if they’re just automated?
yes, get the same.
I applied SCEA to Harvard (deferred) RD to Columbia + Likely
i haven’t gotten those emails so it must be a good sign for u!
I didn’t get those financial aid emails, but I turned in all necessary financial aid forms…so nothing should be missing from me, lol.
@ImAwfulWithNames I think they’re just automated to make sure that no who has applied for financial aid misses their chance to receive the aid due to missing documents if they happen to be admitted.
So far, from all the CC sleuthing, it seems like there’s a “generic” FA email and a “specific” FA email. Did anyone get an FA email signed from an actual FA officer?
got a likely letter (email)!
I got a likely letter yesterday!!
got a likely letter too!
Anybody who has already gotten a likely letter been an ED deferred applicant?
if u didnt receive a likely letter does it mean u dont have a chance?
