I sent in a LOCI already around a week ago. The school is 3000 miles away from where I live so I thought visiting would help my candidacy. Should I send in an extra report regarding my visit or will it be “annoying them?”
@HSsenior1997 I don’t think sending an extra report will be necessary. As long as you have your LOCI sent then you should be fine.
I sent my loci, and I really hope I get in too. I live relatively close (only an hour away) and I’ve visited campus before. Columbia accepted other students from my school during ED so I’m surprised I even got waitlisted. I’m committed to UChicago right now but I would take Columbia if I was admitted.
I thought they said we wouldn’t hear back earlier than May 15?
They say the usually notify applicants after May 15th, but in the past years, some have been notified a few days before

A few kids from my school got in but I know one that declined, fingers crossed!! Unfortunately, I do not live very close to Columbia (a few hours away) but I did get to visit Columbia during CE^2!

No one in my school was accepted to Columbia (I don’t go to a very competitive high school), but this year we had five students waitlisted from Columbia including me. That is the most my high school has ever seen. Luckily, the kids who were waitlisted declined their offers because they’re going to Princeton, Yale, Williams, and Olin. I’m super grateful to have been accepted by Wellesley, but I accepted the offer because I still feel like I am a better fit at Columbia. I fear that if I get rejected from Columbia’s waitlist, then I won’t enjoy myself at Wellesley.

My high school usually has a few people going to each ivy, but if Columbia doesn’t work out just try to make the best of Wellesley, its a great school!

@rrss1919 the first batch of decisions are predicted to come out on Friday according to the past decision releases
@yuelotus oh that’s so cool! I’m in Suffolk. and yeah I hope they release decisions this Friday…that would be so great if I got in on Friday. Also good luck to everyone on AP exams.

I’m so nervous. Can’t wait for the decision to come in. I really want to go to Columbia University. Based on previous years we’ll probably get a e-mail around 5pm tomorrow.
