Columbia University Regular Decision Admission

Is there any way a person could have already been accepted to Columbia if they submitted their application before the Regular Decision deadline was even over? Haha I have a friend who said they didn't apply for Early, just Regular, and was admitted in December.... er, is this even possible? I thought they don't give out acceptances until March? When they were talking about applying to other colleges still despite Columbia acceptance, I said I thought ED was binding, and they said they applied Regular. Maybe they meant Early Action?

No, it’s not possible, unless he received a likely.

God I love these posts. “My friend told me he was accepted ED to Harvard back in December, but blah blah blah. Is Harvard ED invitation-only? I’m only asking because he’s the first person who’s told me about it, so it must be, like, super secret.” Apply Occam’s Razor to the situation and you’ll get your answer.

Side note, Columbia does not have EA. Either he applied ED or he is lying.

Lol I wanted to be happy for them but I call bs…

Is he an athlete?

not at all
