<p>Hi guys,</p>

<p>I'm a freshman interested in the SHP program but I have so many questions so I could use some help! My grades haven't been too good. They are:
1st MP 2nd MP
English honors: B+ B
Geometry honors: B B+
Bio honors: C+ :( B
US history honors: B+ B+ </p>

<p>My grades really suck but are they good enough to get in? If I write a killer essay/paragraph will it be okay?</p>

<p>Also, for the recommendation, should it be from a teacher or I have a tutor who is the AP bio teacher at my school. could I have him give me the recommendation? Also can I get multiple recommendations? </p>

<p>Lastly, for the test what are the three parts? Math, Science, and ______? I really want to get in. I'm so passionate about this program. I'm taking the Bio SAT and AP Bio exam this june and I just really want to get into this program. How good are my chances? </p>

<p>As of right now you still have a chance if you can get great grades 10, 11 and 12 grades. However the C+ is really going to hurt. Get recommendation from a teacher which really likes you. Get multiple recommendations. Take math II chem and bio SAT 2’s. good luck

<p>Honestly, you have a slim chance of getting in, however, if you do really well on the entrance exam, you can still get accepted. Work hard the next couple of years and maybe you can get in next year. </p>

<p>thanks I really sucked at bio first marking period but right now I have straight A’s so I think I can get a recommendation about my growth from C+ to A in bio</p>

<p>You can still improve over the last three years. Nevertheless, you’ll need some spectacular grades to make up for your freshman year. It’s possible, but there’s a lot of work cut out for you. <p>I’m stuck because the entrance exams for the Columbia Science Honors Program and SUNY Old Westbury Institute of Creative Problem Solving are on the same day and I really want to do both. What should I do?</p>
