hi guys,
i have a few questions about the program:
1. what exactly is the program about? is it basically classes at columbia, or more research oriented?
2. roughly how long every saturday(i believe) do you spend at columbia?
3. is the program held during the school year or during the summer?
i may have more questions depending on your respective responses.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

1) It is basically classes, but more enjoyable. You will be in the same room with other (hopefully) highly motivated students. The instructors care about their subject and teaching, or they would not have volunteered to take part.

2) 10-12:30 every saturday

3) Both semesters are held during the school year

You can find more information at [Columbia University Science Honors Program](Columbia University Science Honors Program)

How much physics and chemistry will I need to know for the entrance exam? I’m stressed about that part because I never took physics or chemistry.

a few questions:
- what do they mean by “date transcript ordered”
- do we have to submit the teacher recs by 2/28, or do we just have to tell them whose going to write it for us?

the science sections test general knowledge. Stuff like structure of the atom, force law for gravity, etc. I didn’t take any physics prior to taking the test and there were only 2-3 questions/75 that I got wrong because of this.

The site says that the transcript and recommendation must be received by March 21. I don’t think that teacher recs were submitted online, though I could be remembering wrong.
