Columbia University summer program( high school)

Hello everyone,
I’m applying to Columbia 3-week Summer Program for High School Students. I decided to choose mathematics. It got pretty weird, as they started requesting more and more documents(not listed at the beginning). Does anyone know how hard is it to get there?

I once heard that there was an 80% acceptance rate. Then, another person said it was very hard to get in. Not quite sure who to believe.

Hey Marie,

I had applied for the Columbia 3- week Summer Program for High School Students as well and they asked me too for additional “fall transcripts” which I too found rather weird, yet, I submitted everything. 2 of my other friends applied there too and they did not get accepted but I did and I’ve always considered them rather academically strong, so, I guess it is hard to get in.

(Side Note: I’m also going for the program this year in Session 1, maybe we could connect online? I’m an International Student and I am very nervous about making new friends there as it will be my first time out of the country, hell, first time alone) I would really appreciate it

I’m also attending session 1 this year. I don’t know anyone there and am nervous as well.

Hey, maybe we can get in touch online ?

Definitely. Do you have an email?

@COLUMBIAHSP I am also attending first session and my class is a case study of NYC. What class are you in?

@COLUMBIAHSP I see you wrote that you are an international student. You are going to love New York! The city is my favorite place to go and this campus is gorgeous!
