<p>hello everyone
im from australia, and im going to apply to columbia u. as a visiting student at the end of this year, as a visiting student.
im also looking at other unis, too, but not that many unis offer this program.
i plan on staying in america for a year, but im not too sure..which unis would suit me. i know yale offers the visiting student program, but they don't offer in-house dorm living.</p>
<p>in america, i hope to experience the dorm life . as well, i want to go to a uni that has a great in-house publication, id really like to be a part of.
over here, even though columbia is an ivyleague, its not very well-known, but whats the image of columbia in america,,?
and any visiting student programs that are renowned to be worth the money?
etc etc
and on the columbia website, it says the chances are 40-50% which is not bad at all, so im staying hopeful that i will be accepted, but im only in first year, so i'd have to look at how i go with my exams and so on.
also, i know columbias in manhatten,, and i dont want to be so distracted by all the city life (Which i may well not be ), but who knows what will happen?
& what are the students like, blabla</p>
