Penn may not have the only undergrad business program in the Ivies, but it certainly has the only one worth going to :-D

If you want to compare similar programs, Cornell has Operations Research and Industrial Engineering (ORIE) in the Engineering school that should be pretty similar to IEOR at Columbia. Cornell also has a separate undergrad business program, Applied Economics and Management (AEM) in the Agriculture and Life Sciences school (don't ask...). AEM has only been accredited recently, but has quickly climbed up various undergrad b-school rankings; right now BusinessWeek has it at #10 (http://www.businessweek.com/bschools/07/undergrad/index.html).

Thanks for contributing off-topic potshots, JohnnyK. Keep up the good work.

Forget the education...important as it is, if you want to make it in the business world, you will also need opportunities. Columbia has NEW YORK CITY and I know a TON of SEAS students who land highly envious internships and jobs in the business sector. We're talking about the top positions you can get as a graduate in the financial capital of the world at renowned companies like Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, McKinsey, Wachovia, etc. etc. etc. Cornell is in Ithaca...and I don't know of any Ithaca Stock Exchange there...

but what if you're not interested in finance?
