Columbia is my dream school, but my dream job is engineering so I was wondering which was better for engineering. I have heard Cornell is the best ivy league engineering school, but I still really want to go to columbia. So I was wondering if in fact Cornell is better than columbia for engineering and if so, how much better. Also, which is easier/harder to get into…Columbia's engineering program or Cornell's engineering program.

Cornell engineering is larger and probably with more classes and faculty, but Columbia engineering is still very strong. At the undergraduate level, the differences are not as relevant. I’d say that they are about as hard to get into as each other for engineering. Columbia’s location also gives the opportunity for tech internships and volunteer work. Cornell is also a great school (I sorta thought I’d end up there, but I’m at Columbia and very pleased) and either is a good choice.
