Columbia Vs George Washington University

May 1st is almost here and I’ve slimmed my college choice to either George Washington University (elliot school) or The Dual Degree Sciences Po Columbia program (two years studying abroad in France focusing on Euro-American relations, two years at Columbia University)

I’m interested in politics and economics (social sciences in general) and will most likely end up studying political science or international economics or affairs etc.

I’m not sure which school would be best for what I’m interested in, what degree would help me most when I graduate, where I would get better connections, where I would have a better experience etc.

I was also wondering how much the Ivy League brand matters in the job field and if I should consider that in my decision or not

Life in Po is a whole different educational experience. Search the internet for articles about it.

Congrats on your acceptances! Go to Columbia. It will exceed GW in every arena you are concerned. Columbia is one of the world’s finest universities, and has an insane alumni network. GW is great, but not comparable. Columbia is the way to go here, hands down.
