<p>I think the reason they take so long is because they have to deal with some 20,000 freshman applicants first. Then they begin to think about the 1,000 remaining transfer students.</p>
<p>Yeah, they should definitely do transfers first. Although, I understand why it takes so long.</p>

<p>don't be sad, Mkurti. Look on the bright side, the worst that could happen is you would need to finish school at ur current institution. So y not try to make the best of it starting now? Not able attend Columbia is not end of the world.
By the way, I happen to personally know A LOT of really good candidates having been rejected by the school. Which even makes me wonder why on earth should I be potentially accepted...</p>
